I just decided to travel further on my own. We were in Ecuador, where we spent over a month together, getting to know the country and each other. Looking back, it felt like a dream, one that was moving too quickly for me to grasp. So, I chose to let it go and stuck to what I knew: traveling alone. We said our goodbyes, and I got on the bus to Peru. Almost immediately, I doubted my decision.
